Biographical Information

Steve Murdock, Partner in the Seattle office, brings more than twenty years of broad-based, results-focused pharmaceutical and biotechnology business experience to our team.  As a senior marketing, sales and business development leader he has been a key contributor to some of the healthcare industry’s biggest success stories including the development, launch and growth of multiple billion dollar blockbuster products.  At Icos Corporation Steve designed, built and led much of the commercial infrastructure including the company’s elite sales force.  As a senior marketer, Murdock was a key contributor to the blockbuster launch of Cialis® which was recognized as the 2004 Launch of the Year by multiple marketing and advertising industry organizations.  Prior to Icos Steve spent fifteen years at Searle Pharmaceuticals in a series of marketing, sales, organizational design and business development leadership positions culminating in the record-setting launch of Celebrex®.  Most recently Murdock has provided strategic consulting services to emerging pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.  Steve is an active member of the Washington Biotechnology & Biomedical Association.

Steve’s strategic leadership, management and consultative skills are combined with a practical approach to helping his clients meet their executive search needs.  His experience in both large pharmaceutical and emerging biotechnology firms gives him a real-world appreciation for the special challenges and needs that each faces in today’s healthcare environment.  His consulting practice is focused on the healthcare industry with special emphasis on the biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical device sectors.
