Biographical Information
Cathy joined Allen Austin in the Houston office as a search consultant in 2009.
She has had a wide range of experience in Banking and Finance and the Non-profit sectors. A native Houstonian, Cathy began her working career with Texas Commerce Bank in the Trust Department followed by international finance positions with Aramco Services Company. She began working in the cogeneration industry as Assistant Treasurer of Power Systems Inc. which ultimately became Destec Energy. As VP and AVP in Project Finance lending with Bank of New England, Mitsubishi Bank and Societe Generale, Cathy completed many non-recourse transactions for several leading energy companies. Then she worked for Cogen Technologies and ultimately for The McNair Foundation. Subsequent to that, she became President of Tyrrell Energy Corporation, a small privately held company.
Cathy has served on a number of civic, educational and cultural boards and recently served as President of The Hevrdejs Foundation. Currently she serves on the boards of The Miller Theatre, The Houston Zoo, The Heritage Society, The Alley Theatre, The Houston Symphony, The Houston Community College Development Board, Houston Grand Opera Advisory Board, The University of Houston- Honors College, The University of Texas Health Science Center Development Board and The Panetta Institute in Monterey CA.
Cathy and her husband, Dr. Gary T. Brock, have four children and two dogs.
